Palazzo Fanzago (1626-1642), so called in reference to its designer Cosimo Fanzago (from Bergamo), was intended to house the monastery of the Poor Clares of S. Scolastica. It is the most interesting public building, characterized by six large baroque niches (fake windows) that alternate with a closed and broken crown gable on the main facade, overlooking the Town Hall Square. Remarkable wooden shelves in the form of winged dragons (the invention of which can be attributed to Norberto Cicco, while the carving work to Palmerio Grasso) support the eaves. The building houses in two large rooms on the 2nd floor the museum of bobbin lace, which collects historical works (antique lace from private collections and ecclesiastical equipment), drawings, samples and recent achievements. In the Schieda room, on the 1st floor, works of local artistic craftsmanship are exhibited: carpets, wrought iron, carved wood, goldsmith's art, worked stone.

1 August / 10 September - 24 December / 6 January and Easter week every day (11.00 / 13.00-17.00 / 20.00).
In other periods, the Museum is closed from Monday to Friday.
