The Passolanciano-Majelletta ski area is located at the northern end of the Majella main ridge and is one of the most spectacular in our region because of the fantastic panorama it offers to sportsmen. The wide scenery ranging from the slopes to the Adriatic Sea, the wide slopes and above all the excellent snow cover are the main features of the ski area that rises from 1306 meters of Passolanciano up to the 1995 meters of the summit of the Majelletta.

The chairlift and the eight ski lifts in the area serve as many as 16 downhill slopes spread across all the different levels of difficulty: two black, nine red, five blue. Two large cross-country ski rings are also drawn. The district is divided into 2 stations: Passo Lanciano (from 1300 to 1650 m), with slopes that wind through a thick beech forest, and the Majelletta (from 1650 to 1995 m), with equipped snow park and large snow fields for carving , background, ski-mountaineering. The ski area is located inside the Majella National Park, in a suggestive and ample amphitheater, divided between the municipalities of Pretoro and Rapino.

Pretoro is a characteristic village that rises on a rocky spur of the Majella. The village, whose houses seem to be carved in the mountain rock and appear almost glued together, separated only by the narrow and characteristic lanes, dominates an area of incomparable natural beauty. The wood craftsmanship is flourishing, specializing in the construction of the spindles for the processing of wool and various objects. Just 5 Km. From Pretoro is Rapino, an interesting medieval village whose historic center has buildings of considerable architectural importance, dating back to the 16th-18th centuries. Rapino boasts an ancient tradition in the field of ceramics and occupies a prominent place among the historic ceramic centers of Abruzzo. Several artisan shops that continue to operate in the field of artistic ceramics.

Activities: - Little Jump: mini Snowpark served by the SB4 ski lift and composed of four structures in sequence; - School Camp: served by the SB4 ski lift used for the baby trail (beginners) with a 150 mt mobile walkway; - Games Area: served by the moving walkway and is dedicated to bobs and tubing. Services: - "La tana dei Bimbi": a nice little house equipped for children assisted by qualified animators; outdoor games (tubing, inflatable bikes).
