Scontrone is a village that has a double soul, ancient history and modern art, attachment to the roots and the desire to invent a future. Like its essence, the structure of the village is also double: the municipality is located in the highest part of the town, in the most historic part, while the hamlet of Villa Scontrone is located downstream, on the river Sangro. The intertwining of the medieval imprint and contemporary art stands out in the ancient village: here you can admire wonderful murals and sculptures, which embellish the town. Finally, Scontrone has a very ambitious project in the artistic field: wants to become the House of the Muses, spreading art in all its aspects, from music to theater, from poetry to painting up to multimedia art.
