From the historical Montepulciano, Cerasuolo, and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo wines, to the emerging Pecorino, Montonico, Cococciola, and Passerina grapes which also produce excellent sparkling wines, the land of Abruzzo offers wines of absolute quality. These wines are appreciated by an ever-growing number of consumers and are awarded annually at major international exhibitions. Similarly, the olive universe can rely on an extraordinary variety of cultivars, with dozens of typical varieties from the four provinces yielding oils whose excellence has been recognized even on a European level, with the awarding of three DOP designations to as many territorial areas.
