Civitella Alfedena

Getting to Civitella Alfedena, one of the smallest villages in Abruzzo, means letting yourself be fascinated by the harmony of its architecture and the atmosphere of the center, among narrow streets and old stone houses, tell stories of past centuries and invite you to get lost in their archaic magic. But if the country enchants with its ancient beauty, the territory that surrounds it amazes for its rich nature, colors and scents: behind Civitella stretches the amphitheater of Chamois, at its feet the beautiful lake Barrea. A fundamental aspect of this territory is the Museum of the Apennine Wolf, which illustrates the ecology and ethology of this beautiful animal and the history of its relationship with man.
